Who we are

A community-led movement for social & economic relief

TISER began in 2009 as a group of volunteer graduates — community development officers, sociologists, accountants, environmental engineers, economists, lawyers and nurses — united by one aim: to stand with rural Tanzanian communities on the issues that shape their lives. In 2012 we became a fully registered NGO under the United Republic of Tanzania. Today we design and deliver projects in partnership with communities, local government, municipalities, ministries, districts, and local and international organizations.

  • Founded by graduates and volunteers in 2009
  • Registered NGO since 30 March 2012
  • Active across four Morogoro districts and beyond

Voices from the field

Real change, in their words

Community members share how TISER's work has reshaped their lives.

Before TISER came, conflict between our farmers and the pastoralists was constant. The awareness meetings and dialogue changed how we live side by side.
